Using Pinterest to Update My Bulletin Board

One of my most popular projects was the bulletin board that I have hanging in my

I wanted to use some of the
great printables that I've found on Pinterest...
so I took everything off except the mirror and got to work...

The first thing I wanted to hang up was this frame that I got from The Cottage Market.
Andrea also did a guest post and showed how to make one...
Then I added the big daisy, I had hot glued a thumb tack on the backside,
and it's another one of my favorite things....

This picture is of me and my twin sister...
its one of only a few pictures I have...
when I was a freshman in high school, our home caught on fire
and we lost everything...so there aren't too many pictures of us
growing up...I've always loved this picture...

And I so love Pinterest...
so this printable was a no brainer...

I'm obsessed with this frame...

and now my bulletin board is updated at no cost....

Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Treasure - Little Darlings

One of the many reasons that I got into papercrafting is all the pretty papers that are available.

source

Have you seen paper collection from Graphic 45 named Little Darlings?

The paper line is so cute and with a vintage flair from the 20's and 30's that will
work for either a boy or a girl..

So for a little more inspiration, I went to Pinterest and found
these pins using the Little Darling paperline...

Decorating for Easter on a Budget and a Giveaway

On Sunday, DH and I traveled to spend the day with my daughter and her family...
it had been three weeks since we'd seen Macie.
And I must share how big she's getting..

She was all smiles until the camera came out and then her smiles stopped...
but I had so much fun holding her, loving her...wonderful day!

Crystal and I also decorated the built in hutch in her kitchen with Easter things she had on hand as well as items from Dollar Tree...let me show you ...

I did the cardinal rule...I didn't take a before picture..
but it was a mixture of things, nice things...
but now it says SPRING or EASTER...
and we shopped her home to put this together....

The top shelf, the big platter stayed where it was..
and I used her drink dispenser and filled it with
the plastic Easter eggs that Crystal already had..
I spray painted a frame from Dollar Tree and added the printable..
the lamb was found last year on clearance at Pier One....

I kept the two tiered serving dish and added some spring items..
again, more things on clearance from Pier One..
nothing says Easter more than chickies, bunnies, a little stuffed baby lamb...
and the burlap bunny is from Etsy that I had bought Crystal a few years ago..

For the bottom shelf, I took her wicker utensil organizer and added some fun
napkins I picked up at Dollar Tree...another painted picture frame withe a printable..
I took a blue Mason jar and added some pink basket stuffing and added a few
Easter egg picks to make a cute bouquet...the bunny was on clearance from Pier One
and the candy dish was something that Crystal already had..

So if you're on a budget or you just don't want to spend any money...
shop your home...and use things in unexpected ways!

Now it's time to talk about my giveaways!

I'm giving away this fun, Easter bunny burlap banner
to one person..
(sorry the beaded garland is not included )

I fell in love with these banners that I came across...

Sunday Song - Smash - Shake it out

One of my new favorite shows this year is Smash...
starring Katharine McPhee who was on American Idol a few seasons ago...
If you haven't seen this show and love Glee - you'll love this show...
it's a more grown up version with spectular singing...

Katharine McPhee is not only so beautiful and thin
but her voice is amazing...

And this is my Sunday Song...
love the message!

March Altered Calendar Page

I love to alter things, and my one monthly altering project is a calendar kit that
I picked up at Michaels last year right around Christmas time...

The kit is really a cute calendar kit that even a non-scrapping person can do..
but the fun is when you can make it yours
and add things from your stash...
all the more reason that to go shopping!

Here's what I did for March...
gotta have lots of green and shamrocks...

DH had a birthday on March 15th...

First day of spring on Tuesday, the 20th..
feels more like summer here...
80 degrees last weekend...
the cute little bird button came from Popalicious Too...

When we were in Minneapolis, Crystal got this cute St Patricks Day
outfit for Macie...

Thanks for stopping by..
hope you're all having a great week.

Tuesday Treasure - The Amandas

I love to watch shows that organize and transform spaces, don't you?

Have you seen this new show on Style TV?

Amanda is the owner of The Amandas, a organizing business based
in Birmingham AL. The crew of 6 employees deal with not
only the chaos of redoing the spaces but also dealing with
each other...but it's all very low key drama...

Let me show you one before and after....

In this episode, the baby was due in one month and the nursery wasn't set up yet...
The mother-in-law hired The Amandas to set up the nursery
and organize the kitchen....
The soon to be nursery was more like a storage room with lots of purging needed...

And the after...
very shabby chic with lots of pink touches...
the soon-to-be parents knew they were having a baby girl...
Isn't this space so pretty?

And if you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta...
this week on The Amandas, they redo NeNe's closet!

Amanda also has a list of the Top 10 Things to Purge Right Now!

Click here to find out more about the show..and also on Facebook.

And this is my Tuesday Treasure,
let me know if you've seen the show and if you like it!

Have a great Tuesday!
